What Counts as a Drain Emergency
- Sewage backing up into a tub, shower, or floor drain. This is a health hazard, not an inconvenience.
- Multiple fixtures backing up at once, which means the main line is blocked and wastewater has nowhere to go but into the building.
- The only toilet in the home blocked and not clearing.
- Water actively overflowing onto flooring.
- A commercial kitchen or restroom out of service, where downtime means closed doors.
What Can Usually Wait
A single slow fixture with no overflow and other bathrooms available. Shut off water to that fixture, avoid using it, and book a standard-rate appointment in the morning.
What to Do Before We Arrive
- Stop using water everywhere in the house. If the main is blocked, every sink, shower, and washing machine adds to what is coming up.
- Do not keep flushing a blocked toilet — close the supply valve behind it.
- Keep people and pets away from any sewage backup. That water is contaminated.
- Skip chemical drain cleaners. They will not clear a main line blockage and they leave caustic liquid for the technician.
- Move belongings out of the affected area.
What We Do on Site
Clear the blockage to restore flow first, then — where the situation warrants — run a camera inspection to identify the cause. Root intrusion, a sag in the line, or a cracked joint means the blockage will return, and it is worth knowing that before you assume the problem is solved. Depending on what we find, the answer may be hydrojetting, a repair, or a replacement.
