Conventional Tank Water Heaters

Gas models recover faster and cost less to run at New Mexico rates; electric models install cheaper and need no venting, which makes them easier to place. Both are proven, straightforward, and appropriate for most households. We install atmospheric, power-vented, and direct-vent gas configurations depending on your venting situation.

Tankless

Tankless units heat on demand, so you get endless hot water with no standby loss, 15–20 years of life, and floor space back. Two New Mexico caveats worth knowing: our groundwater arrives cold, which means a larger temperature rise and lower usable flow than the same unit delivers in a warm climate, and hard water scales the compact heat exchanger — annual descaling is essential rather than optional.

Heat Pump Water Heaters

Electric units that move heat rather than generating it, making them far more efficient than conventional electric. They need surrounding air volume and clearance, and they cool the space they occupy — a bonus in a garage in July, a drawback in a small interior closet.

Indirect-Fired Tanks

These run off an existing boiler, using it to heat domestic hot water. A good fit for homes already on hydronic heat, common in older Santa Fe and North Valley properties.
