We Check Whether You Actually Need One
This is the most important difference. Repeat leaks do not automatically mean failing pipe. Excess incoming water pressure without a working pressure reducing valve stresses every joint in the house and produces leaks in perfectly sound piping — and that is a far cheaper fix than a whole-house repipe. We measure pressure and identify pipe material before recommending anything, and if a valve solves your problem we will say so.
Drywall Restoration Is in the Quote
Some repiping quotes stop at the plumbing and leave patching, texturing, and painting to the homeowner. That changes the real cost substantially, and texture matching in Albuquerque homes is not a weekend project. Ours includes it, stated in writing.
Local Pipe Knowledge
Albuquerque’s repipe drivers are specific: galvanized steel supply in pre-1970 homes corroding from the inside, polybutylene from the late 70s through mid-90s, hard water scale narrowing lines, and freeze exposure in unconditioned runs. Fifty-plus years here means we know which neighborhoods and eras have which problem, and we specify PEX for most repipes because it handles both the hard water and the freeze exposure better than the alternatives.
No Commission
A repipe is a large ticket. A technician compensated on ticket size has an obvious incentive. Ours are not — which is why a recommendation to add a pressure reducing valve instead of repiping is a real possibility here.
