We use flat-rate pricing presented in writing before any work begins. A technician diagnoses the problem first, explains what they found in plain language, lays out your options with a firm price on each, and waits for your approval. The number you approve is the number you pay.
Flat Rate, Not Hourly
Hourly billing puts the risk of a complicated repair on the customer — if a job takes twice as long as expected, you pay twice as much. Flat-rate pricing puts that risk on us. You know the total before the work starts, whether the repair takes forty minutes or four hours.
Diagnose First, Quote Second
No one can price a repair honestly over the phone without seeing the system. Our technicians find the actual fault before quoting, which is why we can commit to a firm number instead of an estimate that drifts upward. If the diagnosis reveals something different from what you described on the phone, you get the revised options before anything is touched.
Options, Not Ultimatums
Where a system can reasonably be repaired or replaced, you get both numbers side by side — repair cost, replacement cost, efficiency difference, and realistic remaining life on the existing equipment. That is the information you need to make the call yourself. Our technicians are not paid on commission, so nobody has a financial reason to steer you toward the larger ticket.
No Invented Work
If your air conditioner needs a capacitor, we quote a capacitor. We will tell you about a part trending toward failure so you can plan for it, but recommending something is different from selling it. Homeowners in Albuquerque and Santa Fe have had enough experience with contractors who work the other way around.
The Same at 2 a.m.
After-hours emergency plumbing and emergency AC calls can carry an emergency rate, but the process is identical: diagnosis, written price, your approval, then work. Emergencies are exactly when opaque pricing does the most damage, so that is when it matters most.
Standing Behind It
Every job carries our Home Comfort Guarantee. Financing is available on larger projects, and Care Club members receive member pricing on repairs. See what customers say in our reviews, or contact us.
